My first visit.

On 2 April I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Sarah & Trevor Joel at Mulberry House wedding venue in Essex. This was my first visit to this lovely venue, and although I was only booked to cover the ceremony and the drinks reception I really had a great time there.

Front of House was Gemma, who I have worked with before at a selection of other Essex venues, and she really made me feel welcome, as did all the wedding guests.

I have shot in excess of six hundred weddings to date, but I will always remember this wedding as the one where the best man (also the groom’s father) forgot the rings! I have honestly never seen this before. The bride and groom had to hurriedly borrow a couple of rings from family members on the front row so they had something to exchange. Apparently the groom Trevor was to blame for leaving the rings still in their boxes in his room…

Huge congrats to the new Mr & Mrs Joel.

A big thanks to Gavin Woollard Photography for passing my details to the bride and groom. I’d be happy to step in again at this lovely place if you are booked elsewhere…!
